With all of the excitement about the possibility of reshoring manufacturing to the USA, curiosity lead to me read the Basic Machining Reference Handbook by Arthur R. Meyers and Thomas J. Slattery.
It’s a comprehensive easy
to read reference guide to the principles of basic machining. It’s not going to
cover automation, AI, robotics and etc. but it’s a solid reference guide to the
basics.
If you are a novice, hobbyist,
engineer or professional machinist this book is good for you. I believe a copy
of this book should be in every manufactures library.
