Uzbek national gas company, Uzbekneftegas,
ranks 11th in the world in natural gas production with an annual output of
60 to 70 billion cubic metres (2.1–2.5 trillion cubic feet). The
country has significant untapped reserves of oil and gas. It produces about
40,000 barrels of oil per day.
When
it comes to agriculture about 17% of Uzbekistan’s GDP comes from agriculture,
cotton being one of the most important crops grown in Uzbekistan.
