China approves US$13.1 billion RQFII quota for London

London-based investors have been approved to buy up to USD13.1 billion worth of Chinese stocks, bonds, and money market instruments after Chinese regulators approved the Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII) quota for London. The approval means investors will be given the chance to invest Renminbi directly into China through London under a pilot scheme.
