China to become world's 3rd largest natural gas producer in 2035
At
the 2013 China International Pipeline Conference in Langfang City, Hebei
Province China, the International Gas Union (IGU) announced that China will see
a sharp increase in natural gas production triggered by the country's huge
demand. By 2035 it will be the world’s third-largest natural gas
producer, behind Russia and the United States. In 2012, China's natural gas
production volume rose 6.7% year on year to 106.7bn m3. The country
now has more than 55,000 km of natural gas pipelines, according to the IGU.
China, the world’s 2nd
largest economy, continues to be the most important market for companies
looking for growth and Chinese companies continue to globalize by investing and
selling their products in new markets; what is your company’s strategy for
engaging China?
